Autograph letter signed : Denmark Hill, to Effie Gray, [1848] Feb. 23.

Published pp. 84-87, with two omissions: (1) p. 86, l. 7--parenthesis, after "before that": (June 15th now eight months); (2) [P.S.] His mother fears that Effie will really over-work herself, bodily, with preparations and other things, and says not to mind what is and is not finished. She thinks it will be good for Effie to go to Edinburgh.
