Thanking her for the pleasure Mrs. Gray has given their whole party through the company of "our young friend, who wins all hearts by her cheerful gaiety and good humour." Mrs. Parker would value such a friend for her daughter and trusts that Effie will be permitted to visit them again. She regrets that after his visit, Mr. Gray did not return to spend the night.
