Describing the enchantments of Bellagio--"Ces lieux ici sont ravissantes, doux et grandioses en même temps--il régne un calme qui entre un peu mélancoliquement dans le coeur et le remplit d'une tranquillité vague, tendre et religieuse"--, saying that he has nearly completed his opera [Romilda], asking Nourrit to suggest a suitable subject for his next opera (perhaps something by Manzoni), mentioning work on his German oratorio [i.e. Die Zerstörung Jerusalems], sending greetings to Donizetti, mentioning Franzilla [sic] Pixis, etc.
