Guest book : Corsair IV, 1930-1939.

Contains the signatures of passengers on J.P. Morgan's yacht, the Corsair IV, from June 1930-July 4, 1939. Cruises include Harvard Crew Parties, New London races, Newport races, America's Cup races, the Naval Parade, Harvard-Yale races, and trips to England, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Pacific Islands and along the eastern shoreline of the United States. The entries for cruises to the Pacific Islands and the Mediterranean are accompanied by a detailed log of the voyage describing the various ports, the activities of guests, and the weather conditions. Frequent passengers aboard the Corsair include members of the Morgan, Pennoyer, Nichols, and Satterlee families. The guest book also contains a number of inserted items, such as letters and telegrams from guests, a drawing of Cocos Island from the cruise of 1934, newspaper clippings, lists of destinations--some on Corsair stationery--with dates and accrued milage, and two graphs that plot the yacht's course.
