Autograph letter signed, dated : [Paris?], 11 December 1855, to the chief editor of Le Pays, 1855 Dec. 11.

Saying that a music review in that morning's issue of Le Pays contains an account of her return to the TheĢatre Italien to which she can protest only by asking him to print a letter that Adolfo Calzado sent Frezzolini on 4 December, which said that Mme. Penco was indisposed and could not sing Leonore in [Verdi's] Trovatore that evening and in which Adolofo's father, [Torribio Calzado], asked Frezzolini to sing in Penco's place, and stated the conditions he could offer her.
