Autograph postcard signed : Zürich, to "Big Boy" [Jed Harris], 1937 Sept. 23.

Saying that he has just spent a week "at Nietzche's beloved Sils-Maria [Switzerland], a deep-green lake in a coronet of peaks. The old people still remember him from 1881-1886." He reports on various writing projects: "Our Town grows more beautiful and vast every day"; and adds, "Solitude's wonderful. I've scarcely spoken to a soul for a month: yet never happier; 6000 feet high and in snow."
