Written when Signorelli was occupied on the frescoes of the life of St. Benedict in the cloister of Mont Oliveto; asking one of his Florentine patrons, Salimbeni, to look after one of his sons [Antonio?] who has a chaplaincy and who will earn more money than his father with his brushes; signed "Luca pittore."
