Letter signed : Coblenz, the second Complementaire, to the Minister of War ("mon cousin"), [1804 Sept. 19] "twelfth year of the Republic."

Commanding that the Generals not give their troops unnecessary duties, and that the soldiers of a certain garrison be given an extra week's pay in recompense for their extraordinary service; and asking that General Vernier be permitted to receive his retirement pension [despite his association with Pichergru, who had been involved in a plot to murder Napoleon].
