Autograph letter signed : Englefield Green, Staines, to W.A. Knight, 1880 Feb. 10.

In response to a Knight question telling him "I am altogether against taking either the earliest or latest text. Take what you feel it be on the whole the best." If he takes the latest, he will have to print "The Etherial Minstrel" without its second verse, and if the earliest, "some of the best poems would be spoiled." Mentioning the 1849 edition, advising him to include "various readings" in smaller print; mentioning also Matthew Arnold.
