Benjamin Huntington account books, 1768-1792.

This collection consists of a ledger (1768-1771) and daybook (1789-1792) belonging to Norwich, Connecticut, store keeper and town clerk, Benjamin Huntington. Most of the transactions written in the account book were bartered. Thomas Danforth, pewterer, settled his account with pewter products. The fees recorded in the daybook largely pertain to Huntington's duties as Town Clerk, such as recording deeds and births.
