Saying he is very unlucky with his Leipzig dates, that he has just had to refuse an offer to play at the Gewandhaus the following Thursday, that he may not see David since he is unsure where he goes after his Berlin engagement, thanking him for looking after his Guarnerius, asking David to ask Kistner if he is still interested in the Fantaisie sur des thè€mes russes, adding that he will be in London on 1 May and will be happy to transmit to Mme Dulken any message David may have, mentioning the Distin family, etc.
