Saying that "I will print the sonnet, the compliment being to your father & yourself," explaining that what Parsons sent "was the extempore ebauche suggested by reading Isocrates," commenting humorously on his "farm & villa-hunting excursions," etc.; the sonnet in question, "To Charles [Parr] Burney on his being enterd at Oxford," appears on the third page of the letter.
