Saying that, his patron having informed him of the establishment of an orchestra for San Petronio, in Bologna, prior to Cazzati's dismissal, there had been given a statement for his competition and that he had written immediately in order to prevent the engagement from proceeding, as he had placed all his hope in his patron's letters, adding that Legrenzi would not be alarmed if difficulties arose, etc.
