Journalist, proprietor of the New York Commercial Advertiser, and historian. From the description of Letter, 13 Dec. 1831. (Filson Historical Society, The). WorldCat record id: 49337062 New York journalist and historian. After working for several newspapers and magazines, Stone became proprietor of the New York Commercial Advertiser in 1821.
