Autograph letter signed, dated : Paris, 14 December 1889, to "Lieber Herr Doctor [i.e. Max Abraham?], 1889 Dec. 14.

Saying that he has been sick in bed for three days--no doubt he brought back his illness with him from Brussels: it is the illness "à la mode," the so-called influenza--, noting that it is very funny that Colonne himself now wishes to perform Grieg's Bergliot everywhere, mentioning a letter from an unknown person in Berlin who is wrong in assuming that Grieg's songs nos. 27a and 27b are different songs and that he is right in criticizing Henzen's German translations of "Ein Schwan," adding that [Augusta] Holmès would be glad to translate his songs into French, etc.
