Saying that he has been asked to write some orchestral music for the reopening of the cathedral of S. Gaudenzio, that his first thought was to assure the best performance of his music for that solemn occasion, that Pasini will therefore understand why Cagnoni is relying on him, expressing the hope that he will accept the invitation, asking for a line in reply, etc.
