The Neil Site (for overhead pass) : [1948-1949]. 1948 Sept. 10 - 1949 Jan. 24.

Letters and memos relating to the proposed construction of an overhead bridge (Sir James Dunn Bridge) connecting University Avenue with UNB - a joint project undertaken by Sir James Dunn, who was to provide thesteel and Lord Beaverbrook, who was to provide the land. Subjects discussed include: purchase of Neil property (also known as Lee property); rumor that a library wing was being constructed in place of the skating rink; communications with John B. McNair re the apportionment of cost for the bridge and with John Neil, C.N. Bissett, H.A. Hanson and others relating to various matters and the relocation of Beaverbrook's Waterloo Row residence tenants. A copy of an application made to the Board of Transport Commissioners for Canada which outlines the growth of UNB is included.
