Letters and telegrams in relation to advice rendered by LeRoux Smith LeRoux regarding the acquisition of art. Among these is an assessment of French Canadian artists, in particular Borduas, Beaulieu, Pellan and Cosgrove. Included is a list of books on art compiled by Alfred Goldsworthy Bailey as well as a list of books in the Beaverbrook Collection on deposit at the University of New Brunswick Library. The file also contains comments regarding a Daily Telegram article which indicated that LeRoux had been dismissed from his post as Deputy Keeper of the Tate Gallery, London.
