Regarding the construction of a Playhouse in Fredericton by Lord Beaverbrook and Lady Beaverbrook, this file consists of: letters, photographs, financial accounts of the Beaverbrook Foundation, the Beaverbrook Auditorium Act, bank deposit acknowledgement, receipts for bank drafts, financial statements, minutes of a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Beaverbrook Auditorium. Other topics include: plans for performances for the opening of the Playhouse, the Beaverbrook scholarships, and a transcription of a legal document regarding the "Old Temperance Hall property which is now the site of the continuing Presbyterians", Newcastle dated 8 April 1865, and signed by James Thompson, a lawyer and former acquaintance of Beaverbrook.
