John J. Rhodes papers, 1953-1983.

Consists of correspondence, reports, financial and travel records, and printed matter. The collection documents Rhodes' congressional career from 1953-1983, and significant portions of the collection concern the Central Arizona Project, Indians, water legislation, campaign activities, and the Barry Goldwater presidential campaign. The collection has been divided into eighteen series. The first fifteen series concern each of the US congresses from 1953-1983. The final three series are Central Arizona Project, Campaign files and Miscellaneous files.
