Includes his reading notes, family scrapbooks, two account books, 1868-1872, of Oakes Ames, copies of pamphlets and documents relating to the railroad, and five reels of film. The film includes part of the autobiography of Grenville Dodge, Department of Interior letters to and from Oakes and Oliver Ames, 1865-1870, and reports by Dodge, 1868-1869, and the government directors of the Union Pacific Railroad, 1864-1872.
