Education: Wilfred Laurier University, study abroad in Barcelona, master's in international affairs from Columbia University; career: general administration work, volunteer work in hospital in India, work in art department and advertising for Saturday Night Magazine, internship with United National Development Fund for Women, consultant with United Nations Development Program, research department with Safe Horizon since summer 2000; September 11th: watching towers burn, donating blood, return to work; Safe Horizon response: volunteer work at armory, work at Pier 94 with case filing for Crime Victims Board, coordination and training of volunteers, transition to other centers, transition to other work; Work with other agencies: Federal Emergency Management Agency, Red Cross, Salvation Army; challenges and problems in work: construction of eligibilty guidelines for assistance and services, management of volunteers, infrastructure; personal reflection on work: feedback received, failure of services, successes of service, description of work atmosphere at Family Support Center, services at 51 Chambers Street and 141 Worth Street centers; community organization work: clientele base, publicity, networking, assistance given, communities served, groups with unmet needs, Unmet Needs Roundtable, work with donors; future work.
