Oxygen deficiency on New Jersey cranberry bogs during the winter of 1954-55 [by] Philip E. Marucci and Harry J. Moulter.

Dr. H.F. Bergman (1953), working in Massachusetts, has clearly shown that oxygen deficiency in the winter flood is a very important factor in the reduction of cranberry yields. Filmer suggests that oxygen deficiency may have been responsible for the reduction of 20 to 50 percent of the cranberry blossoms on New Jersey bogs in 1953 and 1954.
