Comprises a royal cedula of October 17, 1556, calling for opinions on the recommendation of García de Hermosilla that the ports of Trujillo and Caballos in Honduras and Realejo in Nicaragua be substituted for those of Nombre de Dios in Panama and Panama City; and his Memorial, setting forth the reasons for this view.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. Ephraim George Squier (1821-1888) and Dr. Edwin Hamilton Davis (1811-1888) of Chillicothe, Ohio were antiquarian authors who became authorities in the field of Indian antiquities.
