Interviews with three generations of San Franciscans, with a variety of ethnic backgrounds and status, about their urban experiences prior to the age of 25. Conducted by Prof. Frederick M. Wirt. Subjects covered: religious training, schooling, political learning, ethnic awareness, leisure activities, job training, career aspirations, the 1906 earthquake and fire, attitudes towards World Wars I and II and the Vietnam War, comparisons of life in the city, major political events impinging on their lives, etc.
