An account of her association with Junior League, State Relief Administration, League of Women Voters and Farm Bureau Federation, and her political career as member of Board of Supervisors, Santa Cruz Co., 1956-62. Comments also on her uncle, Herbert Hoover, and the establishment of the University of California campus at Santa Cruz. Documentary material appended, including campaign material, copies of her letters to constituents, copies of clippings, and a copy of her booklet, Uncle Bert: A Biographical Portrait of Herbert Hoover.
