Miscellany of six main items, i.e., León y Gama's reply to an anonymous friend regarding his treatise on medical experiments involving lizards, Mexico, October, 1783; tables and formulas relating to taxation on silver mining and minting; formulas for the reduction of pesos to smaller silver and copper currency; notes and corrections for Mariano Veytia's Baluartes de México, concerned chiefly with the image of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios near Mexico City; some theological essays of José Honorato Melero y Fernández; and a collection of verses of José Joaquín Franández Lizardi, written about 1822.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. Historian, lawyer, philosopher. Born 1718 and died circa 1780 in Puebla, Mexico. Mariano Fernández de Echeverría y Veytia received his law degree from the University of Mexico in 1737.
