Letter to William Hepworth Dixon : ALS, [1865? May].

"Tom" Hood, the humorist, protests that one's literary opinions should not be allowed to influence one's social relations. Apparently Dixon has recently broken off their acquaintance. Dixon's reply, marked "Private", dated "May 25/65", and signed merely "W.H.D.", is written on the inner leaf.
