Abel Spicer family papers, 1771-1841.

Two commissions (1771 Oct., 1775, May 1) to Abel Spicer, both signed by Jonathan Trumbull; marriage certificate (1785 Nov. 13) of Spicer's daughter Phebe to John S. Billings, of Windham, Conn., signed by Park Allyn (1785 Nov. 13); papers (1830 Sept. 21) certifying wound received by John S. Billings in Flatbush, N.Y., Aug. 27, 1776; and bill (1841) allowing increase in Billings's military pension. Other persons represented include George Wyllys, John Baldwin, Charles I. Brett, Peter Saunders, William Webb, and Chester Hunt.
