Reformer. Josiah Woodward Leeds (1841-1908) was the son of Benjamin S. Leeds. Born in Philadelphia, he moved to West Chester, Pa. in 1868 and joined the Society of Friends in 1870. In 1877 he published a United States history textbook notable for its lack of battle illustrations.
