Osborne scrap book, 1857-1870.

The collection consists of one scrapbook kept by Henry J. Osborne. It includes pasted clippings about the secession of the southern states and various happenings in Augusta, Georgia. It also contains letters written by Osborne to the local paper, some about an incident at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. There are also accounts of the siege and fall of Vicksburg, and obituaries of Capt. Henry Prentiss Osborne, who was taken prisoner at Vicksburg, was paroled and died at home, as well as several poems by "Kaluptonoma" of Augusta.
