An essay on socialism : the original manuscript / by George Sand (Mme. Dudevant). [1866?]

A holograph, signed excerpt from George Sand's 1866 novel Monsieur Sylvestre on the topic of socialism. A later collector has supplied the title describing the passage as an essay on socialism, and has also provided an English translation. This appears to be a passage excerpted by Sand for another purpose, given her signature and citation of "Mr Sylvestre" at the end of the passage, as opposed to some kind of draft or early version of the novel itself.

[11] leaves, bound ; 28 cm.
