Civil War letters of Theophilus Frank of Davidson County, N.C., a member of the 48th North Carolina Regiment; his wife, Elizabeth; his brother, John M. Frank; John's wife, Lovina Hedrick [sic] [Headrick]: her brother, Jefferson Hedrick [sic] [Headrick]; and John's nephew, Jessie M. Frank. Theophilus Frank's letters describe camp life while he was serving in North Carolina and northern Virginia, and discuss the Petersburg campaign and desertion.
