Verses contributed by friends of A. Hinton [manuscript], 1776.

Hinton provided a box into which his friends placed poetical offerings to be opened on November 5, 1776. The poems in this manuscript are copies of these. Many of the poems were composed by A. Hinton and members of his family. On fol. 32v is a reference to Portia's caskets.
