Hugh Anderson Haralson (b. 1805 - d. 1854), born near Penfield, Georgia, graduated from Franklin College (University of Georgia) in 1825, and was admitted to the bar in 1825. He married Caroline M. Lewis on November 27, 1828 in Greene County, Georgia. He practiced law in Monroe, Georgia, and LaGrange, Georgia, and pursued agricultural activities.
