This is a collection of some speeches given by Governor Dan Evans from 1965 until approximately 1969. The speeches include his inaugural address from his election in 1965 & 1969 and three speeches that were given in Boston, Philadelphia and the New York Athletic Club describing Washington State.

Daniel Jackson Evans (born October 16, 1925) served three terms as governor of the state of Washington from 1965 to 1977, and represented the state in the United States Senate from 1983 to 1989. He was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering. Congress passed the Pacific Northwest Electric Power Planning Act in 1980. The Act established the Northwest Power Planning Council to provide a publicly accountable body to conduct regional energy planning and to review the new authority given to the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) to finance resources and conservation.
