Copy of the report addressed by Gálvez, as Visitador General, to the viceroy, Marqués de Croix. Gives an account of the steps taken by Gálvez to Croix to facilitate execution of the royal order for expulsion of the Jesuits, the subsequent disturbances in outlying provinces, and measures adopted to restore peace.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area.
