Royal warrants of the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico : ms., 1560-1816.

Collection of royal decrees, viceregal orders, and related documents, mainly copies, originating in Spain and Mexico and concerned principally with the University of Mexico or its relations with other educational institutions. Corresponds substantially in content with the main portion of the printed Reales Cédulas de la Real y Pontificia Universidad de México ... (Mexico City, 1946) edited by John Tate Lanning, but contains several documents not in the Lanning collection. Largely copies with two originals bearing the signatures of Philip III and Viceroy Linares.
