My recollections of Maximillian : n.p., [ca. 1910].

Recollections of the reign of Emperor Maximilian and Empress Carlota in Mexico, written some 43 years after the events by a daughter of one of Carlota's ladies-in-waiting. Her account covers the period of preliminary negotiations and the election of Maximilian as emperor by the Council of Notables, his arrival at Veracruz, life at the court, some details on contemporary life in Mexico, revolts led by Juárez and Díaz, the departure of the Empress, and execution of the Emperor, with hearsay reports on the later life of Carlota. Includes nine illustrations.
