Poems, quotations, essays, 1895-1896.

A compilation of poems, quotations, and essays typed by Aaron Miers. Miers used different keys of the typewriter to make decorative borders for the titles of the works, although he typed the title of the first poem, "Old Age," in a more elaborate manner. Included are poems by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Edgar Allan Poe, John Greenleaf Whittier, William Cullen Bryant, Ethel Lynn Beers, Adelaide A. Proctor, and others. Not all poems have an author listed. The date the work was typed is included. Some poems were noted as having been typed at school. Several works are about Napoleon.
