A memorandum from Chr. Smith, July 11, 1780, being a reminder to take an empty cask to Mr. Hoffman's to be filled with Jamaica spirits; to buy tea, sugar, crocus cloth, brown fustian, rotten stone, brimstone, and a lantern (most of this was to be purchased from Mr. Bancker); to get a chicken(?) table at Tomme [sic] Colgan's; to carry a bandbox to Rachel Groomes; and to get Bolton to make a pair of shoes.
