Pottery notebook, 1932-1938.

In this notebook, Coolidge kept a record of his pottery making. In the front of the volume are found sketches of shapes of pottery from different civilizations (Greek, Persian, etc.) and designs from old pottery, particularly Central American. Towards the back of the volume are Coolidge's detailed notes about the glazing and firing of his own pottery. He carefully notes the how the glazes turned out after firing. Several loose sheets found in the notebook were price lists for materials. One of the lists was written on a piece of stationery from the Dan Sing Fan tea house and gift shop in Ogunquit.
