Photographs of interior of a mansion, early 20th century.

Thirteen photographs of the interior of an unknown house (possibly more than one house), probably in Philadelphia or its environs, all marked with the stamp of W.N. Jennings. There are views of three dining rooms; one is less formal than the others and is possibly a breakfast or morning room. Two photographs are different views of the same sitting area and stairway. Another photo depicts a different stairway, part of which also shows up in a photo of a hallway. There are three photos of bedrooms, and three of sitting areas (living rooms or libraries). The photos show furniture, art (paintings, sculpture, and decorative objects), clocks, lighting fixtures, floral arrangements, draperies, rugs and carpets, ceilings with decorative plaster work and with painted designs, wallpaper, ornate woodwork, stained glass windows, and other trappings of expensive homes. The furniture is in different styles, among them Renaissance, empire, and Chippendale (possibly all reproductions or revival styles).

13 photographs ; 20 x 25 cm.
