As an actor and tent show owner, he traveled over the United States in tent shows during the period 1910 to 1944, principally in Texas and the Southwest. Born Jan, 11, 1901, Henry Lee Brunk, a native of Wichita, Kansas, began acting and touring with Harley Sadler's tent shown in 1916. Later he organized his own stock company, Brunk's comedians, which toured Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas from the early 1920s to the early 1960s.
