Contains information on Dominis's arrival in the Hawaiian Islands from the U.S., 1837; prior trading voyages of his father between the Islands and California, and on the Northwest Coast; subsequent voyages with his father, and visits to the U.S.; positions held in the Hawaiian government; marriage to Princess Liliuokaui, 1862.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. Liliuokalani (b. September 2, 1838, Honolulu, HI–d. November 11, 1917, Honolulu, HI) was the first queen and last monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaii, ruling from January 29, 1891, until the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii on January 17, 1893.
