Missionary card index, ca. 1962-1987.

The missionary card index was created ca.1962 by the LCA Division for World Mission and Ecumenism and includes records of service prior to 1962. The index is divided into the following three sections: resigned, retired, and deceased. Information on the cards includes: birthdate and place; closest relative; date of call or appointment; where and when orientated; education; employment experience; and family information. A fourth category, active, was incorporated into an on-line database system of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Division for Global Mission. These cards are not part of this collection.
