Papers contain a French copy and 48 pages of a Spanish translation of Fourchy's QUELQUES MOTS, a literary work dedicated to the memory of Napoleon I and presenting a plan for a Universal Utopian World under an authority similar to the present day United Nations. Also present is business correspondence, business and religious cards, a souvenir brochure for the City of Lake Charles, La., several New Orleans trade cards, and pictures of the New Orleans World's Cotton Exposition, French Opera House, Battle of New Orleans, and Jackson Square. Business correspondence relates to various New Orleans construction projects handled by Andre Fourchy, a civil and naval architect and contractor.
