Charles Krüger statement, 1885.

Born in Riga; entered the service of the Russian American Company in 1853; around the Horn to Sitka; work there till the cessation of the Company's activities. Describes an Indian difficulty of 1854, and events attendant on the transfer of sovereignty to the United States in 1869.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
