Dictation from John Frost : Austin, Nevada, 1885.

Visits to California on a whaler in 1846; return in 1851 and 1852; miner on the Yuba River, hotel operator on the Henness Pass road; to Austin in 1862; superintendent of the Manhattan Silver Mining Company. With the dictation is a letter from George H. Morrison to N.J. Stone, Austin, 1885, stressing Frost's importance in the history of Lander County.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
