Copy of document protesting devotion to the Virgin of Guadalupe and Saints Michael, Joseph, and Francis of Assisi, and petitioning for their patronage; presented for signature by the members of the Zacatecas Colegio on December 11, 1780. Apparently based on a petition signed on December 11, 1728. Colored title page, two colored drawings, and illuminated lettering.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
